Itās never a bad time when you get to spend some quality moments with the person that you love most in the world, especially when those moments tilt in a romantic direction.
In the Bay State, it seems clear that romance is in the air from the salty sea breeze off the coast of Cape Cod west towards the stateās border with New York and Vermont, with Massachusetts being home to some of the best kissers in America.
International Kissing Day, also known as World Kissing Day, is celebrated annually on July 6. To celebrate, BetMassachusetts.com took a beat from Massachusetts sports betting and wanted to know what states have the best kissers. We developed a scoring system that factors in Reddit.com users survey data that asked what states have the best kissers, and search interest scores using Google Trends to find and rank the states accordingly.
Note: The Google Trends search was for āhow to be the best kisserā over the past year (June 24, 2023 - June 24, 2024.)
Rank | State | Total Score |
1 | Florida | 552 |
2 | Massachusetts | 517 |
3 | Texas | 510 |
4 | California | 499 |
5 | North Carolina | 493 |
6 | New York | 486 |
7 | Oregon | 483 |
8 | Alaska | 462 |
9 | Georgia | 447 |
10 | Nevada | 429 |
Across America, only Florida had a higher score across the various metrics that determined whether a given state was interested in learning how to smooch properly, with the Sunshine Stateās total of 552 points beating out Massachusettsā total of 517.
Massachusetts did finish ahead of Texas, which had 510 points, while also knocking off heavy hitters like California (499 points), North Carolina (493 points), New York (486 points), Oregon (483 points), Alaska (462 points), Georgia (447 points) and Nevada (429 points).
When itās all said and done, few states in America take their kisses quite as seriously as Massachusetts does, apparently, as the Bay State ranks as one of the best nationally when it comes to doing their legwork on being romantic with the oneās they love most.
