Everyday millions of people across the globe turn to the World Wide Web to find out about anything they want to find out about. In honor of everyone's favorite daily activity, the world will be celebrating the 18th annual Internet Day on Sunday.

BetMassachusetts.com took a break from Massachusetts sports betting and used Google Trends to find the search queries with the biggest increase in frequency over the past six months (April 24 through Oct. 24) in Massachusetts. Here are what Bay Staters were searching for:

Weather Worries Top List in Massachusetts

Hurricane Lee, the third hurricane of the year that hit the Atlantic Coast and New England region back in September, was the most searched topic by 3200%. Connections NYT, which has to do with the New York Times’ popular word connection game, came in a close second at 3100%.

Released in August, the Sound of Freedom movie about a a former U.S. government agent who is on a mission to rescue children from sex traffickers in Colombia, was third at 1300%. The film stars Jim Caviezel and Mira Sorvino. Another movie, Oppenheimer, was released in theaters back in July and placed fourth at 1150%. Starring Cillian Murphy, Oppenheimer is a bio thriller about J. Robert Oppenheimer, the “father of the atomic bomb” and his role in the Manhattan Project that developed the first nuclear weapons during World War II.

Rounding out the top five was “US Open” for both golf and tennis — which many of the states’ residents wagered on at Massachusetts betting apps — with 1100%.
