As we approach the 25-game plateau of the NBA regular season, it’s worth taking stock of where each of the 30 franchises in the league stand with their respective head coaches, as certain clubs appear set for great things while others fall by the hardwood wayside.
The defending champion Boston Celtics haven’t missed a beat, posting the NBA’s second-best win percentage (.792) alongside the Oklahoma City Thunder and behind the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are 21-4 (.840) this season.
Still, head coach Joe Mazzulla has the Boston Celtics in great shape, with oddsmakers from Bet365 Massachusetts listing the C’s as their NBA title favorite, at +225, ranking ahead of OKC (+400) and the New York Knicks (+1000) leaguewide.
BetMassachusetts.com - your home to Massachusetts sports betting coverage and promos - will be updating odds on the next NBA head coach to be fired every week. Below, you can see where we stand after the week.

Our top pick to get axed first this NBA season is Utah Jazz third-year head coach Will Hardy, who has the Western Conference club at 5-18 (.217) this season after going 68-96 in his first two seasons in the Beehive State.
Hardy (+400) ranks ahead of Willie Green of the New Orleans Pelicans and Chauncy Billups of the Portland Trail Blazers, who come in at +450 apiece to get axed next, while Billy Donovan of the Chicago Bulls is the next closest candidate to get shown the door first, at +650.
Longshot candidates to remember include Darko Rajakovic of the Toronto Raptors at +1100, Nick Nurse of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle at +1500 apiece, as each of them are in unenviable spots as the NBA season drags on.
Of the lot, Green’s Pelicans have the worst win percentage this season, at .200 (5-20), while the Jazz (.217), Raptors (.280), 76ers (.318), Trail Blazers (.333), Bulls and Pacers (.400 each) aren’t doing much better this NBA season, speaking to why all of them find themselves on thin ice as the NBA season enters its midseason stretch.
