There’s an age-old phrase about one man’s trash being another man’s treasure, which might help explain why residents of the Bay State are so enamored by the concept of thrifting various items.
That’s because Massachusetts ranks among the national leaders when it comes to search interest surrounding thrift shops, where people sell their "weathered" possessions to others for a new cycle of life with a new owner.
National Thrift Store Day is August 17. To celebrate the day in style, BetMassachusetts.com wanted to find that states are the most into thrifting, whether it is to find cool vintage items, save money, or reduce the impact the clothing industry has on the environment. Using Google Trends, we compiled search interest scores for “thrift store,” and “thrifting,” between August 5 – 12, 2024 to rank the top 10 thrifting states.
Don't stray far from BetMassachusetts, home to not only lifestyle stories such as this but also all things Massachusetts sports betting.
