If youāre a baseball fan in the Bay State, then chances are, we know who you root for.
Baseball, like most sports, is regional in nature. However, with out-of-market games now available for streaming, and the growing trend of rooting for players instead of teams, itās easier for someone from Boston to be a fan of any team ā except for the Yankees.
With pitchers and catchers reporting in just about a month, BetMassachusetts.com wondered who the best team to become a fan of is this upcoming year of 2025. Utilizing a weighted system, we averaged out the rankings of each team in four separate categories: 2025 World Series Champion Odds from DraftKings Massachusetts Sportsbook, 2024 National TV Appearances (from ESPN), 2024 Year-End Farm System Rankings (from Bleacher Report) and 2025 MLB Stadium Rankings (from USA Today).
It turns out the Red Sox, whose odds to win the 2025 World Series are +2500 at DraftKings, still acquit themselves well.

A Beantown Revival Brewing?
Granted, itās been a lean couple of seasons for the Sox. They havenāt finished above .500 since 2021, which happens to be when they last made the playoffs, and the team has been lacking something ever since they traded Mookie Betts to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020.
That may be changing in the near future. The front office made waves earlier in the offseason when they dealt several prospects to the Chicago White Sox for pitcher Garrett Crochet. The southpaw will bolster Bostonās rotation, and management got him with emptying one of the deepest farm systems in the majors.
Speaking of the farm system, 2025 may be the year a couple top prospects make their Fenway Park debuts. Roman Anthony ended last season at Triple-A Pawtucket, where he hit .344 and had an OPS of .983 in 35 games. Anthony wonāt turn 21 until the middle of May.
