Patriots-Jets Rivalry

The Patriots-Jets rivalry dates back to 1960 when the Jets were known as the New York Titans and the Pats were the Boston Patriots, both belonging to the American Football League. The rivalry has spanned 60 years and has included the likes of Joe Namath, Bill Parcells, Tom Brady and of course, Bill Belichick.

The Patriots lead the rivalry all-time at 74-55-1, including a 2-1 postseason advantage. That has also included a margin of 38-12 for New England after the year 2000, which has primarily been the Tom Brady era.

Despite Brady leaving the Patriots in 2020, the Patriots enjoyed a 15-game win streak against the Jets from 2016 to 2023, with the Jets ending that streak in Week 18 of the 2023 NFL Season, which turned out to be Belichick's last game with New England.
