After playing the entirety of his 1,090-game NHL career with the Boston Bruins, a change could be on the horizon for winger Brad Marchand, who is out “week-to-week” with an upper-body injury according to interim head coach Joe Sacco.
Marchand has 47 points in 61 games this season for the Bruins, who are 28-27-8 (64 points), two points out of the second and final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference with 19 games to play, which begs the question of whether Boston will opt to part ways with Marchand ahead of the NHL’s Friday trade deadline.
With that in mind, our Massachusetts sports betting experts broke down the odds on where Marchand will suit up next, with the B’s still a commanding favorite to keep the 36-year-old veteran in town through the end of the NHL season.

Where Will Brad Marchand Go?
Thanks to Marchand’s current injury and Boston’s proximity to a postseason spot, it’s hard to see GM Don Sweeney trading him before Friday’s deadline, which is why we have the Bruins as -500 favorites to keep him in town through the end of the 2024-25 NHL season at least.
If Sweeney decides to move him, teams like the Las Vegas Golden Knights (+1750), Colorado Avalanche and New Jersey Devils (+3000 each) are the frontrunners to put together the type of trade package needed to land Marchand ahead of the trade deadline, though we’ll know more in the coming days on that front.
There’s also a chance that a longshot trade partner like the Carolina Hurricanes could swoop in and land Marchand, as the Eastern Conference stalwart from the Tar Heel State holds +5000 odds of making a move for the veteran winger out of Halifax ahead of Friday’s deadline.
