Analyzing Boston at 100 Games

In seven of the last 10 years, Boston has had at least a .500 mark or better entering the final 62 games and missed the playoffs just twice.

Last season, with a 50-50 mark, Boston ended with a 78-84 record, last in the AL East. In 2019, they finished with an 84-78 record with a third-place finish in the division after going 54-46 in their first 100.

A few positive notes to mention as Boston heads into the important summer stretch.

The Red Sox have over .500 records at home (28-23) and on the road (25-24) and an impressive record against teams that are over .500. (35-29).

Scoring runs is not a problem, either. Boston has posted 504 runs thru 99 games (third best in the American League) behind the Texas Rangers (589) and Tampa Bay Rays (540).
